Cookie notice

1. What this notice covers

This notice explains what Scout Atlas Limited ("the Company") stores on a visitor's device, or reads from it, when they use the Scout Agency website. That includes cookies and similar tools such as the browser's local and session storage. The rules are in regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 ("PECR"). Read this notice with the Privacy notice.

2. What this website stores

The Company sets no cookies. It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies when a page loads. The site keeps two items in the browser's own storage. Neither is sent to the Company.

• Theme choice (local storage, key scoutagency-theme). It records whether the visitor chose the light theme. It is kept until the visitor clears their browser data.
• Loading sequence flag (session storage, key scoutagency-intro-seen). It records that the loading sequence has already played in this browser tab, so it does not replay on every page. It is deleted when the tab or window closes.

The Company's view is that both items fall within the exceptions to the consent rule in PECR. The theme choice adapts how the site looks to a preference the visitor has set. The flag keeps the site working as the visitor has already seen it. Each is described here, and each can be removed (clause 5). This site therefore shows no cookie banner.

3. Services that run when you send a form

The booking and enquiry forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check run by Cloudflare, Inc. It loads from Cloudflare's servers (challenges.cloudflare.com) only when a visitor sends a booking or enquiry, never when a page loads. It runs in the visitor's browser and may look at browser details to tell people from automated programs. It is there only to protect the forms from abuse. The Company tested it on this website on 3 November 2026 with Cloudflare's test key, and it set no cookies and no local or session storage on this site's own address. Cloudflare may keep its own data under its own address while the check runs, as described in its privacy policy. The Company has not found any other provider used for hosting, security or booking that sets a cookie on this site. If one is found, or if it is ever needed for security, it will be listed here.

4. If that changes

If the Company ever adds analytics or any cookie or storage that the exceptions do not cover, it will update this notice first and add a consent banner, so that nothing non-essential is stored before a visitor agrees. If it adds a tool that relies on the statistical purposes exception, it will say so here and give a simple way to object.

5. Managing storage

A visitor can clear or block cookies and site data in their browser settings. Clearing the site's data removes the stored theme choice. Blocking site data does not stop the site working: the theme resets on each visit and the loading sequence may show again. The loading sequence has a Skip button, and visitors whose device is set to reduce motion do not see it play.

6. Changes to this notice

The Company may update this notice. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
